Domaine de Saint-Endréol: When Experience Makes the Difference

1st July 2026 217

Marketing Manager at Domaine de Saint-Endréol for more than twenty years, Vanessa Chevrier has contributed to the evolution of this iconic destination in the Var region, where golf is now experienced as a complete journey combining nature, relaxation, gastronomy, and well-being. An inspiring testimony on the role of women in golf hospitality and on the new expectations of golfers.

You have been Marketing Manager at Domaine de Saint-Endréol for several years. How has your role evolved alongside the development of the resort and the changing expectations of golf clientele?

I have been fortunate to accompany Domaine de Saint-Endréol for more than twenty years (and I must admit there are far worse places to go to work every morning!). My role has evolved significantly over time. Initially, communication was mainly focused on golf. Today, we address a much more diverse clientele, seeking a genuine experience beyond the game itself. The Domaine has become a true destination where golf, accommodation, wellness, gastronomy, and nature come together.
Marketing has also changed profoundly, with the rise of digital channels, social media, and the need to build more personalised relationships with our guests. My role now consists as much in enhancing our brand image as in creating connections, understanding visitor expectations, and showcasing the unique lifestyle of Saint-Endréol.

Domaine de Saint-Endréol combines golf, hotel, and spa in a natural environment. In the way you design communication and guest experience, do you pay particular attention to certain details?

Absolutely. We are convinced that the experience is built on details. In both our communication and the welcome we offer our guests, we aim to convey an atmosphere of serenity, conviviality, and authenticity.
The exceptional natural setting of Saint-Endréol is a true asset, and we are committed to showcasing it. We place great importance on consistency between what we promise and what our guests actually experience: the quality of the welcome, attention to comfort, and the feeling of being expected and recognised. It is often these small touches that turn a stay into a lasting memory.

Do you feel that the expectations of women golfers (or mixed clientele) are influencing more today the way golf stays are designed?

Yes, unquestionably. Golf stays have evolved significantly in recent years. They are no longer aimed solely at golf enthusiasts, but also at couples, groups of friends, or families looking to share a more complete experience.
I have observed that women have largely contributed to this evolution, promoting a more balanced approach to the stay, where the pleasure of the game is combined with well-being, gastronomy, discovery of the local area, and relaxation. More broadly, these expectations now reflect a clientele seeking complete and authentic experiences.
This evolution has helped make the world of golf more open and more accessible, offering stays where everyone can find their own balance, whether they are passionate golfers, occasional players, or non-playing companions. At Saint-Endréol, this philosophy is fully expressed through our resort offering, particularly our 2,000 m² spa entirely dedicated to well-being, which perfectly complements the golfing experience. It allows both companions and players to extend the benefits of a day on the course in a setting conducive to relaxation.
It is this complementarity between sport, nature, and well-being that now makes golf stays so rich and attractive, and which fully reflects the spirit of Domaine de Saint-Endréol.

In golf and hospitality professions, sensitivity to customer experience is essential. Do you think women bring a particular approach to this?

Without falling into clichés, women often have a natural attention to detail, strong listening skills, and an empathetic approach that are real assets in hospitality and service roles.
In a place like ours, these qualities help create an authentic relationship with guests. More than ever, and especially in the age of AI, it is emotions and the quality of human interaction that make the difference.

If you had to describe the emotion you want visitors to Saint-Endréol to experience, what would it be?

I would like our visitors to feel as if they were pressing the “pause” button—offering themselves a timeless break, far from the noise and fast pace of everyday life. Here, nature, silence, the sound of cicadas, and the gentle Provençal atmosphere do the rest. If our guests leave feeling more relaxed, more smiling, and a little more “zen” than when they arrived, then we have succeeded.
