Real Golf Club de San Sebastián
DESCRIPTION
The Real Golf Club de San Sebastián is located in the municipality of Hondarribia (Fuenterrabía), on the slopes of Mount Jaizkibel, close to the mouth of the Bidasoa River and the border with France.
The golf course and the rest of its facilities are located in an area of 50 hectares, dominated by large masses of native oak trees. The course layout is beautifully designed, with a predominance of gently sloping fairways, although some of them are quite steep. It is a beautiful 18-hole, par 71 course that is a challenge for all golfers.
The clubhouse, of sober and elegant design, is located in the old Bordagain farmhouse (Villa San José), which was rebuilt in the 1960s to adapt it to the needs of a clubhouse.
The rest of the club's buildings are located in old farmhouses which, despite the modifications made, have lost none of their charm and fit in perfectly with their surroundings.
The practice course was modified a few years ago and is equipped with modern posts on two levels, as well as an area for short game.
