Cave Saint Désirat
DESCRIPTION
Created in 1960, the Cave de Saint-Désirat is located on the terraces along the right bank of the Rhône, in the AOP Saint-Joseph.
It is a cooperative of more than 240 winegrowers, representing nearly 600 hectares of vines in AOP Saint-Joseph, AOP Condrieu, AOP Crozes-Hermitage, IGP collines rhodaniennes and Vin de France. On the sunny cottages, supported by low dry stone walls, Syrah, Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier do wonderfully. The Cave de Saint-Désirat now represents 30% of the production of the Saint-Joseph AOC
Quality is the keyword of the Cave de Saint-Désirat, and that of its winegrowers, who have been working on its development for nearly 63 years.
Attentive to nature, the winegrowers of the Cave are in love with the land, proud to perpetuate the know-how of their masters, anxious to produce quality wines. Manual harvesting, controlled vinification and high-performance equipment are its main assets.
The strength of the Cave de Saint-Désirat also lies in its commitment to biodiversity and its development of wine tourism.
